Chef Aaron McCargo Jr. has won The Next Food Network Star. Aaron's "Big Daddy's House" pilot was a smashing success. Aaron went back to his roots by creating a wonderful fusion of soul food and Spanish fare.
A surprise finale party was hosted by Aaron's family and dozens of his closest friends were secretly VIP'd to attend at the Victor's Pub on the Camden Waterfront. The bash was the icing on the cake for the Next Food Network Star champion. The atmosphere was electric as the finale show was shown on at least a dozen flat screen TVs. Chants of "Aaron ... Aaron ... Aaron" accompanied every commercial break or pause. The place ERUPTED when Master Chef Bobby Flay announced Aaron McCargo Jr. as the winner of the Next Food Network Star.Aaron was congratulated for hours as he embraced his guests one at a time.
It was a night to remember.

Congratulations Aaron!! You were our choice from the very first show so we were delighted to see you win. We hope your new show is only the beginning of much success. God Bless.
Aaron, congratulations!
So I'm wondering, if you ran through the pilot 3 times....what becomes of the finished food product each time? Do the crew enjoy it? That stuff looked pretty good to eat!
And then, did they kind of give you any assurances at any point like, if something goes less-than-perfect for you on camera, they can always "cover" it, by switching to a close-up of the food?
Can't wait to check out your show next week!
Great job! Check out the Courier-Post coverage of your big win at courierpostonline.com
Take care,

Aaron, Congratulations! We knew you would do it! We already have the DVR ready to capture "Big Daddy's House"! Enjoy every moment of this success! You are so talented! We know you are going to inspire so many people! Amy
I am so thrilled you won Aaron! You clearly did the best in over all performance and definitely a great cook! I agree with the ones that stated how well you also did on camera talking when you were not under pressure (challenges) so I believe you are going to do great now that the challenges are over. Do you have any message boards on the internet that are devoted to your fans? Would love to join if you do! Be proud of all your accomplishments! Always know there will be some jealous and there are always critics out there wanting to find fault. No one is perfect but you are great and you deserved to win. I admired how nice you were to all the other contestants. Congratulations again.
Aaron, my partner and I just shouted with excitement when Bobby Flay announced your name! We've been rooting for you from day one and knew you cinched the win when we saw your pilot!!!!
Best of luck to Aaron! I thought just about every dish you made looked delicious. I read on an interview that you became a food-junkie when you were 4 and ate fried chicken. I love fried chicken, but have never made it at home. I hope you show us your recipe and technique for this awesome dish so I'll have the guts to try it!
Best of luck again to you!
Congratulations Big Daddy! We were rooting for your. We are so happy to have someone represent the Philly area! You nailed it and stayed true to your Camden roots. We're already setting our DVR for Big Daddy. Keep up the good work!
I was always rooting for you, good luck & I hope we can meet again now your a superstar

Bert thanks for stopping by my blog, I haven't tried Karma yet in the City. I hear it is very tasty. A favorite Indian Restaurant I frequent is in Cherry Hill. Palace of Asia has an amazing Indian Buffet one of my friends from India took me there years ago when I was in college and I have been hooked ever since. You should go there on a Friday or Saturday. They bring out the better foods and you won't be dissappointed. My other favorite Indian restaurant just opened last month by the Fairmount Section of Philly. On 18th and Callowhill street King of Tandoor, I happen to know the owner. He has a location in Brooklyn called Joy of India. I tried his appetizer sampler plate he kindly served to me. Very authenticate Indian food but the decor is on the fine dining side. I am going to review his restaurant for my blog. Amazing and really, awesome job on this blog. keep up the good work.
